Growing up , Sai always dreamt of a day when he would be at the peak of his career with the best of pay, promotions & designation that will bring him fulfilment , however despite two senior leadership promotions this year sai seems to be feeling a weird disinterest in anything he is doing, constantly feeling being torn between where his life is going vs what it could be , sleep isn’t relaxing or quick and his mind clouded with storms of thought, confusing, contradictory, unclear , seems familiar ?
41% of adults worldwide report high stress (Gallup study 2021), Globally 1 in 8 people are suffering from mental disturbances including anxiety, depression and more from stress (WHO report 11 march 2024) , this trend only seems to be increasing, making us question – how can we take charge and build our mental power house to walk through any storm unfazed.
Our day-to-day chaos demands us to slay down challenges like a warrior and run amidst chaos towards the next peaks, but this requires clarity & swiftness which is a result of calm, clear monk like mind, while the body is pushed to perform at its peak for endless hours the mind needs to be rooted in calm clarity but this hasn’t been our way of living.
Instead of building strong mental ships with large anchors to face the heavy current & take us to any part of the journey, we are often hurried to jump into the sea of life with a mind as delicate as paper boat and when it soaks under pressure of the high tides, we ask why are we drowning in stress and swirling in the tornado of emotions?
We need the mastery of the warrior and the monk, they knew the secret to success and imbibed and embodied it as a way of life, and the secret is “there is truly only one thing under human control and that if disciplined and mentored well will bring everything in the world within your grasp. “
